Wow! Didn't see this one coming. On vacation in the area and saw how busy this place was...decided to give it a try. Possibly the best steak and chicken meal we've had at a mexican restaurant in the US! Absolutely delicious!
El Dorado has everything you need in a Mexican restaurant. Tasty food, affordable prices, excellent service, food served quickly, and excellent chips & salsa. We have been here several times since moving to Ashland and it has never disappointed. There are lots of tasty meals to choose from, but if you really can't decide, I highly recommend the Arroz con Pollo. Cheesy chicken goodness, right there. But again, everything I've had has been tasty and filling. Their chips and salsa are excellent. The service is always quick and friendly. The prices are right in line with what you'd expect for any good Mexican place. Side note: during Covid, they've been taking all the precautions I would hope they would. Carryout has been quick and easy and every staff member I've seen has been wearing masks (well before they were mandated). I greatly appreciate businesses that did everything they could to protect their customers and their staff, and El Dorado has definitely been one of them.
The staff greeted us as soon as we stepped in the door. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly polite and helpful. The food was a reasonable price, and the portions were a nice size for the price paid. The queso dip was delicious. However, the retried beans were not as good as I have had at other restaurants, which is a shame seeing as one of the orders I had was a bean dish. I also ordered sopapillas for dessert. Personally, I did not enjoy the chocolate and strawberry sauce drizzled over top. I prefer the normal honey sauce and powder sugar that is on a typical sopapilla. Other that the differing opinions on the food, I was impressed by the restaurant and would come back again, but most likely to try something else.
Solid solid place. Here with family. Service excellent. Prices good . Enchiladas, burritos, tacos all good. Parking was in back, lil hard to figure out as it was dark and lighting wasnt good but had never been here before so no problem . Gotta say, I enjoyed the chips and salsa which had a bit of spice that we received upon entering. Nice place ... worth a trip.
This little restaurant is doing a great job of trying to protect their customers. There food is always very good. The servers courteous.
